Common Loon (Gavia immer) — loons in breeding plumage on a northern lake. A faithful reproduction of a hand-colored 1830s ornithological plate (No. 306, “Great Northern Diver or Loon”), printed edge to edge with its original aged-paper tone and engraved caption.
- Printed flock-fiber surface on a heavy-duty non-slip rubber base
- 24" x 16" (60 x 40 cm)
- Artwork: after J.J. Audubon, engraved by Robert Havell Jr., The Birds of America (1827–1838) — public domain, reproduced from a museum-grade scan. Cropped and color-checked by us; nothing redrawn.
